Johann Heinz Kopp

Johann Heinz Kopp (born April 28, 1942 in Nuremberg ) is a former German diplomat .

Life

After joining the Foreign Service in 1966, he worked at the Consulate General in Chennai (as an attaché) and at the embassy in Burma (as a commercial attaché ).

From 1978 to 1982 Johann Kopp was Permanent Representative of the Ambassador to the Republic of the Congo (Congo- Brazzaville ). After serving in the Foreign Office, he was First Secretary at the Embassy in Indonesia from 1988 to 1993 . This was followed by renewed use in the Foreign Office.

From 1999 to July 2003 he was permanent representative of the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Sri Lanka and from July 2003 Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Chennai / India . The administrative district includes the southern Indian states of Andhra Pradesh , Karnataka , Kerala , Tamil Nadu and the Union Territory of Puducherry . He held this office until he retired in 2007 and was subsequently replaced by Roland Herrmann , the previous ambassador to Bahrain .
