Johann Lange (politician)

Johann Lange (* 24. January 1897 in Wilhelmshaven ; † 20th October 1956 ) was a German politician of the SPD . From April 20, 1947 to October 20, 1956, he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

Long attended elementary school and then a vocational school. From 1916 until 1918 he took part in the First World War. He was managing director of the German Transport Association until 1923 and then until 1933 as an employee in the city administration of Nordenham. Because of his membership in the SPD, Lange was dismissed in 1933 and placed under police supervision. He then worked at the Wilhelmshaven gas and electricity company until 1936 and became district manager at Karlsruhe Life Insurance in 1936. During the time of the Second World War, he served in the war from 1939 to 1945.

After the end of the war, Lange was involved in the reconstruction of the SPD Weser-Ems and entered the Lower Saxony state parliament for constituency 74 in the 1947 state election . He belonged to it from the beginning of the first legislative period on April 20, 1947, until his death on October 20, 1956, during the third legislative period.
