Johann Samuel Friedrich Pagenstecher

Johann Samuel Friedrich Pagenstecher (born October 12, 1783 in Bern ; † December 7, 1856 there ) was a Swiss pharmacist .

His parents were the pharmacist Johann Friedrich Pagenstecher and Esther Jeanne Françoise Carrard.

He studied pharmacy in Erfurt and Göttingen, passed his pharmacy exam in Bern in 1805 and took over his father's pharmacy on Kramgasse in Bern. 1807–19 and 1832–33 he was a member of the Bern Sanitätskollegium, 1831–35 of the sanitary commission and member of various scientific associations. In 1845 he received his doctorate in Munich. He carried out pharmaceutical research in his laboratory, the results of which he published.

In 1848 he married Anna Maria Buchheit from Lemberg id Pfalz.
