Johann Schreiner

Johann Schreiner (born October 9, 1952 in Straubing ) is a German academy director and biologist.

Schreiner is director of the Alfred Töpfer Academy for Nature Conservation (NNA; formerly North German Nature Conservation Academy ) and lecturer at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg .

From 1971 to 1976 Schreiner studied biology and chemistry at the University of Regensburg. He then worked as a biologist in an administrative position in the government's nature conservation department in Lower Bavaria . He later became a lecturer at the Bavarian Academy for Nature Conservation and Landscape Management . In 1991 he was brought to Lower Saxony by the then state government ( Cabinet Gabriel ) and has since headed the Alfred Toepfer Academy for Nature Conservation in Schneverdingen .

In 2001 he received an honorary doctorate to become Dr. rer. nat. hc in the Department of Environmental Sciences at Leuphana University Lüneburg .
