Johann Seltmann Vohenstrauss was a porcelain manufacturer in the town of Vohenstrauss .

The company was founded in 1901 by the landowner Johann Seltmann and his younger brother Christian Seltmann, who had learned the porcelain trade. Due to differences of opinion about the future of the company - Johann wanted to found a stock corporation - Christian Seltmann left in 1910 and founded the Seltmann Weiden company , which is still family-owned today.

Johann Seltmann Vohenstrauss was the most important employer in the city with 600 employees at times. In 1993 Johann Seltmann Vohenstrauß merged with the manufacturers Schirnding and Kronester to form SKV Porzellan-Union GmbH (insolvency 2013). Production in Vohenstrauss was discontinued in 1996.
