Johannes Attems (bank manager)

Johannes Attems (born October 5, 1947 in Graz ) is a former Austrian bank manager.

Life

Johannes Attems studied economics and social sciences in St. Gallen , Switzerland (licentiate 1972). After completing his doctorate at the Vienna University of Economics and Business , he was awarded a Dr. rer. soc. oec. PhD. From 1974 to 1975 he worked at Süd-Ost Treuhand Aktiengesellschaft. In 1975 he joined Oesterreichische Kontrollbank AG, of which he was a board member from 1988 until his retirement at the end of 2013. Attems is currently a member of the supervisory board of Wiener Börse AG, CEESEG Aktiengesellschaft ( CEE Stock Exchange Group ) and a board member of the Association of Austrian Banks and Bankers . On October 1, 2011, he took over the chairmanship of the Board of Trustees of the Vienna Museum of Modern Art (mumok).
