Johannes Funke

Johannes Funke (born August 27, 1969 in Potsdam , GDR ) is a German agricultural engineer and politician . In the state elections in Brandenburg in 2019 , as a non-party member of the SPD in Havelland I, he received a direct mandate in the Brandenburg state parliament .

Life

After attending the Polytechnic High School in Potsdam, Funke first completed an apprenticeship as a shepherd with a practical year. He did his military service as a construction soldier . After graduating from evening school, he studied agricultural engineering with a diploma at Berlin's Humboldt University . From 2001 to 2009 he worked as a consultant for the central market and price reporting office for products of the Agriculture, Forestry and Food Industry GmbH in Berlin. He then moved to the German Farmers' Association , where he was press officer and assistant to the general secretariat until 2014. Since 2015 he has been managing director of the Havelland district farmers' association.
