John II of Blankenfelde
Johannes II. Von Blankenfelde (* around 1404 ), known as Hans , was Berlin's mayor .
He comes from the Blankenfelde patrician family in Berlin , who provided a total of seven Berlin mayors. His father Paul von Blankenfelde and his older brother Wilhelm von Blankenfelde were also mayors of Berlin. He himself held the highest state office in the years 1462 to 1473, with an obligatory annual change. 1474 he was by Emperor Friedrich III. raised to the imperial nobility.
Blankenfelde, together with his older brother Wilhelm, was involved in the riots directed against Elector Friedrich II. Eisenzahn in 1447/48 (see here ). Shortly after the verdict, both were pardoned and later got their property back.
