John III (Pope)
John III († 574 ) was from July 17, 561 to July 7 (according to another source July 13) 574 Bishop of Rome .
He was a Roman with the last name Catelinus and came from a wealthy family. He was the son of Anastasius, who bore the title illustris .
Although John III. ruled for nearly thirteen years, very little is known about his pontificate . It falls during the stormy time of the Lombard invasion . Almost all documents from his time have been destroyed.
