Johannes Wancata

Johannes Wancata (* 1958 ) is an Austrian psychiatrist and neurologist . He is head of the Clinical Department for Social Psychiatry at the University Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Medical University of Vienna . He received his doctorate in 1984 and completed his habilitation in 1999. Since 2009, Wancata has headed the Ombudsman's Office of the Archdiocese of Vienna for victims of sexual abuse in the Catholic Church .
