John Brinckman Society

The John Brinckman Society was founded on February 6, 1990 in Hamburg .

The aim of the literary society is the care, preservation, rediscovery and research of the complete works of the Low German poet John Brinckman . The association wants to make Brinckman's work and biography accessible again in written and oral form.

The society was founded on the initiative of Margarete Block-Jakobs, Hanstedt (Nordheide) , who was also elected first chairman at the founding meeting.

In 2000 the general assembly decided to move the company's headquarters to Güstrow .

Wolfgang Siegmund , Jürgenstorf , has been the company's chairman since March 2000 .
