John G. Dixon
John Gretton Dixon (born November 29, 1910 in Bootle near Liverpool , † 2000 in Canterbury ) was a British officer and translator.
Life
After the end of the Second World War, Dixon was responsible for sports at the headquarters of the British military administration in Cologne. He made a significant contribution to the development of the German Sport University .
He also translated from Dutch, French, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish into English (nuclear physics, mathematics, politics, economics, sports).
