John McGeoch

John Alexander McGeoch (born August 25, 1955 in Greenock , † March 4, 2004 ) was a Scottish guitarist .

He played guitar for Magazine , Visage , Siouxsie and the Banshees , The Armory Show and Public Image Ltd. (also known as PiL). His guitar style redefined the sound of Siouxsie and the Banshees, and he recorded some of their best albums with the band. He later left the music industry and finished his training as a nurse in the mid-1990s, but did not practice the profession, but turned back to music. Among other things, he composed music for British television. In the mid-1990s, he formed a new band called Pacific with John Keeble ( Spandau Ballet ) and Clive Farrington , but they broke up without any publications.

John McGeoch died in his sleep on March 4, 2004, leaving behind his wife Sophie and daughter Emily.
