John Molle (born April 27, 1876 in Kewaunee , Wisconsin , † April 27, 1921 in Oshkosh , Wisconsin) was an American watchmaker .

Molle constructed three typewriter models, of which the first two remained experimental models, the third model went on sale. It was produced in Oshkosh between 1918 and 1922. The machine was characterized by its lightweight construction due to the use of aluminum and sheet steel instead of cast iron. The three-row machine was not a sales success. Today it is in great demand among collectors as only around 15,000 pieces were built.
