John Rutherford (Director)

John Rutherford is an American entrepreneur , film director, and film producer .

Life

John Rutherford studied film production in college . As a film director, he made several gay porn films . He initially worked as a director for the US company Falcon Studios . In 2001 he and Chi Chi LaRue won the GayVN Award for “Best Director” for the film Out of Athens . In 2002, Rutherford was inducted into the Hall of Fame for the GayVN Awards.

In 2003, Rutherford, together with his partner Tom Settle the company Colt Studio Group of the American entrepreneur and photographer Jim French for 2.2 million US dollars. In 2004 the film BuckleRoos 1 and 2 was released , for which he again received the GayVN Award for "Best Director". In 2010, after a previous owner sued $ 1.45 million in dispute and a number of unprofitable decisions, the company went bankrupt.
