John Valentine Carruthers

John Valentine Carruthers (* 1958 in Wortley ) is an English musician. He was guitarist for the experimental band Clock DVA before he succeeded Robert Smith in Siouxsie and the Banshees in 1984 . Since Carruthers never really fit into the band and did not bring the desired creativity, he was fired in 1987 and replaced by Jon Klein . 1993 Carruthers was together with Fred Schreck (vocals), ex- Killing Joke drummer Paul Ferguson and John Micco (bass) guitarist and songwriter for the band Crush , which only existed for a short time and released an album.
