Jon Klein
Jon Klein (born May 9, 1960 in Bristol ) is an English guitarist who co-founded the legendary London club " Batcave ".
Klein played guitar for The Europeans and the gothic punk band Specimen before becoming the new guitarist for Siouxsie and the Banshees in 1987 . Klein was with the band for eight years and recorded three albums, which no other Banshees guitarist could do. In 1995 he left the band after disagreements, worked with Sinéad O'Connor and a few years later produced the debut album of the Scottish gothic rock band Nervosa. In 2000 Jon founded the band Snail together with bassist Matt Seligman ( The Soft Boys ) and drummer Chris Bell, which was able to record some successes in the Asian region.
In 2006 the Specimen was reissued by Jon Klein and the two former band members Kimba (bass) and Tim Huthert (drums), together with Stephan X (guitar) and T.bias (vocals) as new members. This collaboration led to the band's first full-fledged album entitled Electric Ballroom , which was released on Metropolis Records in the summer of 2007.
Former Specimen Original members Olli Wisdom and Jonny Slut can also be heard on the album .
