John Vlissides
John Matthew Vlissides (* 2. August 1961 in Washington, DC ; † 24. November 2005 in Lake Mohegan ) was a computer scientist, especially as one of the four authors of the seminal book Design Patterns: Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software ( design patterns : Elements of reusable object-oriented software ) became known. The four authors of this book are nicknamed " Gang of Four" ("GoF").
John Vlissides died of complications from a brain tumor at the age of 44.
