Richard Helm

Richard Helm is computer scientist and co-author of the book "Design Patterns - Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software" ( design patterns ) that he and Erich Gamma , Ralph Johnson and John Vlissides wrote. The four authors are also known as the Gang Of Four . You were awarded the Dr. Dobb's Journal Excellence in Programming Prize and the AITO Dahl-Nygaard Prize in 2006.

Richard Helm is Partner and Managing Director of the Boston Consulting Group in Sydney . He received his PhD in computer science from the University of Melbourne , began his career at IBM Global Services as a research assistant at the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center in New York, and later worked as a technical consultant for the DMR Group and again for IBM in Australia.

Richard Helm was a committee member of the ACM Object-Oriented Programming, Systems, Languages ​​and Applications conference OOPSLA .
