John W. Hayes

John W. Hayes (* 1938 ) is a British classical archaeologist .

Hayes studied at Cambridge University and has been a curator at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto since 1968 . He is the leading expert in the field of Roman ceramics, which he published for numerous excavations in the Mediterranean region. He has written numerous books and articles on ceramics and small finds.
