Joint Venture Phare Program

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Joint Venture Phare Program , or JOPP for short , was an EU economic development program from 1991 to 1999 . It enabled small and medium-sized companies that were located in one of the EU member states before the EU's eastward expansion to enter into a joint venture in one of the so-called PHARE countries as part of this expansion . This was done with grants and loans .

The following funding was provided:

  1. Financial support in the search for projects and partners
  2. Help in the run-up to the establishment of the joint venture
  3. Aid to cover capital requirements
  4. Know-how transfer and technical assistance
