Cuban Link (* 1974 in Havana ; real name Felix Delgado ) is an American rapper of Cuban origin.

biography

Delgado was born in Havana , Cuba in 1974 and had to leave his homeland in 1980 because his father had been banished by Fidel Castro . He grew up in the South Bronx and quickly became involved in the local hip hop scene, which was then still in its infancy. He wrote rap lyrics and formed a rap crew with local rappers Big Punisher and Triple Seis .

Eventually the trio collaborated with Fat Joe and "his" Terror Squad . Cuban Link first appeared in 1997 with Big Pun on the track Off the Books . Cuban was also heard with Fat Joe and featured on the Terror Squad LP. Cuban became known and he soon got a record deal with Atlantic Records . However, when Big Punisher died in 2000 , it all fell apart and the deal with Atlantic finally fell apart. Cuban was then involved in an altercation in a New York nightclub and was badly injured in the face. After he had recovered, Cuban Link released his remodeled debut album on the independent label MOB Records (Men of Business) in 2005 , which should have been released by Atlantic. It is called Chain Reaction and features hip-hop musicians such as R'n'B singer Mýa and New York rapper Jadakiss . Swizz Beatz produced three of the tracks on the album .
