Jolanta Dičkutė

Jolanta Dičkutė (born December 8, 1970 in Kaunas ) is a Lithuanian politician. Dičkutė has been a member of the European Parliament for the Darbo partija and a member of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe since 2004 .

biography

Dičkutė studied medicine at Kaunas Medical University from 1989 and received her doctorate in 1995. She then completed practical general medical training at the Kaunas Medical University between 1995 and 1996 and was trained as a pediatrician from 1996 to 1998. Between 1998 and 2002 she also did a PhD at the Faculty of Public Health at Kaunas Medical University and from 2000 to 2002 she studied public health at the Nordic University of Public Health in Gothenburg ( Sweden ).

Dičkutė was the Kaunas District Coordinator for the State Educational Institution “Kaunas Regional Development Agency” health project of the World Bank in Lithuania from 2001 to 2004, and from 2003 to 2004 she was the coordinator of the projects at the clinics of the Kaunas Medical University. From 2002 to 2004 she was also a lecturer at the chair for prophylactic medicine at the Medical University of Kaunas.

Dičkutė has been a member of the Council of the Darbo Partija (Labor Party) since 2004 and the Executive Secretary of the Labor Party's Health Committee since 2003. In addition, from 1997 to 2002 she was editor of the pharmaceutical journal “Pharmacon”.
