history
Jolt was invented in the USA in 1986 and was meanwhile also available in Germany. The Jolt-Cola logo consisted of a yellow lightning bolt that pierced the letter o in the word Jolt .
Jolt Cola was originally from The Jolt Cola Company of Rochester in the US state of New York made; then it was produced by Wet Planet Beverages, which also come from Rochester. In Germany the distribution of Jolt was taken over by Klaus Dörrenhaus Marketing (KDM) from Cologne.
In the USA there were additional flavors that were not sold in Germany.
The original company went 2009 into bankruptcy to Chapter 11 (bankruptcy restructuring).
Trivia
In the 1998 film Deep Impact , at 00:06:06 before an accident, a truck driver is shown reaching for Jolt Cola to indicate fatigue.
