Name of the first German publication in brackets

  • Jommeke (Peter), 11 years old, blond with a white shirt and blue tank top, his distinctive hairstyle (like the Xingu Indians ) is often referred to as a thatched roof; Jommeke is brave, clever, friendly, helpful, loves animals, and is enterprising. Whenever there is a need to get to the bottom of secrets or to help people, he is there.
  • Filiberke (Alexander), Jommekes best friend; Distinguishing signs: red jacket, purple turtleneck, jet black hair (like his Italian ancestors); Filiberke's imagination knows no bounds. He often plays unusual games lost in thought (for example he plays an apple tree by digging himself in with his feet and holding up apples). Filiberke always leaves everything behind in order to set off on new adventures with his friend Jommeke.
  • Annemieke and Rozemieke (Annemarie and Rosemarie), identical twins; Distinguishing marks yellow sandals, yellow skirts with pockets, straw-blonde hair with ponytails and red hair bows, white blouse, black vests; both are inseparable; lovable; caring; brave; enterprising. Sometimes they have to settle disputes between the boys. They abhor violence.
  • Professor Jeremias Gobelijn (Prof. Gobelein), professor of everything and inventor; Its white seal beard and white hair, distinctive eyebrows and large feet are characteristic. He is the smartest person on the planet and famous for his incredible inventions. Unfortunately, he's also very distracted, which puts him and his friends in the craziest situations. In addition to various devices and potions, his most important inventions include the submarine whale and the flying ball, with which friends can quickly reach any destination worldwide.
  • Flip: Jommeke's talking and intelligent parrot Flip. He's the show's secret hero. Jommeke can always rely on him, because his cleverness is always there to scout things out and to lead crooks by the nose. He is also a real connoisseur and gentleman.
  • Pekkie (Peggie): Filiberkes proud black royal poodle male with a distinctive sniffing nose. His strong teeth put some crooks to flight.
  • Choco (Schocko), the monkey of the twins. Identification red shorts, sailor suit and cap. Sometimes dense and playful, then again very sensible and of great use when it comes to exploring inaccessible places by climbing; He loves chocolate and chocolate cream more than anything.
  • Anatool (Anatol), villain, petty criminal and opponent of Jommeke. In tailcoat, knee breeches and buckled shoes, he prefers to sneak into high society as a servant in order to look for assets and hidden treasures.
  • Kwak and Boemel (Kwak and Bummel). The big, lanky Kwak and the small, chubby Boemel (read: Bumel) are not the smartest. Sometimes the two with the little speech impediment team up with Anatool, but they're actually good-natured little crooks. Their dwelling is unusual because they live in a hole in the ground in the forest.
