Jonael , also Jonaël, is a French male given name .

Origin and meaning

Jonael is derived from the Hebrew Jonah , which means "dove". The second word component is the French Joël , which means "Jehovah is God" in Hebrew. Also el comes as the second part of the name into account. El is the name of the highest Canaanite God (see בֵּית אֵל Beth el "House of El") and means "God".
