Lund's artistic work makes use of current technologies and through them draws attention to networks and structures in today's world. His works deal with the problematic side effects of digitization.

In 2014, Lund created a series of paintings called Flip City, which were first exhibited at Steve Turner's in Los Angeles. Each of the forty paintings had a GPS tracker attached to the back, which reported its current location to the Flip City website once a day. The work aimed to explore the manipulative nature of the art market, particularly the practice of a group of collectors to sell works of art quickly and resell them for an increased profit, which is known as a "flip".

In 2018, Lund created his own cryptocurrency Jonas Lund Token, an ERC-20 token over the Ethereum blockchain that acts as a voting stake in his artistic practice, spawning a new art form called "Performance Art Capitalism".

In January 2019, Lund founded an influence agency called Operation Earnest Voice in a performance / installation at the Photographers' Gallery in London. The aim of the installation was to undo Brexit, which led to controversy and criticism from the organization Leave Means Leave over the status of the Photographers' Gallery as a charity, which was partly funded by Arts Council England and should not be funded as such participate in political campaigns. In a public statement, the gallery said it had followed Charity Commission guidelines, consulted Arts Council England, and sought legal advice "to ensure the project was in compliance with all appropriate regulations, particularly those relating to publicly funded non-profit organizations". As a result, "the project would not be adjusted or shut down".
