Jongopie Siaka Stevens

Jongopie Siaka Stevens (born June 10, 1950 ) is a Sierra Leonean diplomat .

Life

He earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Cambridge College of Arts and Technology . This was followed by a diploma in electromedical equipment and electrical laboratory equipment from the Technical University of Budapest . He worked as a medical electronics engineer for the Ministry of Health and Medical Services of Sierra Leone, most recently as senior chief engineer. From 2009 to 2018 he was Sierra Leone's Ambassador to Germany , based in the Sierra Leone embassy in Berlin .

Stevens had a son with Japian Stevens (1996-2011) who died in a swimming accident on June 20, 2011 in Berlin.
