The Jono is a sword from Sumatra .

description

The Jono has a straight, single-edged, bulbous blade. The blade widens from the handle to the location . The back of the blade is straight, the cutting edge is s-shaped. Shortly before the handle, a protrusion is forged on the blade that protrudes towards the cutting edge. The booklet has no guard and is made of wood. The pommel is bent and widened. The sheaths are made of wood, are in two parts and are wrapped with rattan cords for fastening . At the vaginal mouth they are widened in a ring. Towards the hilt the mouth of the scabbard narrows to the width of the blade. The entire scabbard is decorated with line-shaped carvings . The Jono is used by ethnic groups in Sumatra.
