Jorge López Montaña (born September 19, 1978 in Logroño ) is a Spanish football player . His traditional position is midfield .

career

Jorge López began his footballing career in the youth of CD Logroñés . The club's problematic economic situation led him to move to Villarreal CF in the summer of 1999 . With these, he made it to the Primera División in the first season and developed into one of the club's best players in the central midfield. In the summer of 2003 he finally moved to Valencia CF , and although he played here on the unfamiliar right-wing board, he was able to convince again and won the championship and the UEFA Cup with his team . The departure of Rafael Benítez and the arrival of Claudio Ranieri , who retired Jorge López, led him to RCD Mallorca on loan . He played a good season with them, but was seriously injured in the end and returned to Valencia in the summer of 2005 . After a long rehabilitation, he finally made it back to the team in spring 2006.

Nevertheless, he switched to league rivals Racing Santander in the summer of 2007 , where he was able to fight for a regular place a little later. A year later he moved to Real Zaragoza , which had just been relegated to the Segunda División . A year later she returned to the House of Lords.
