Jorge Daniel Valdez Godoy (born July 14, 1974 in Concepción ) is a former Paraguayan football player . The defender was last under contract with Club Atlético 3 de Febrero in 2007 .

He played at Club Olimpia from 1996 to 2001 . From 1997 to 2000, Olimpia was Paraguayan champion four times in a row. In 2001 Valdez moved to Club Sol de América and in 2002 to Club 12 de Octubre . After an interlude at Central Norte in Argentina, he returned to Club 12 de Octubre. In April 2003, he was banned for six months after testing positive for cocaine on a doping control . Other stations in his career were Sportivo Luqueño , General Caballero Sport Club , Club 2 de Mayo and Club Atlético 3 de Febrero .

Valdez was once appointed to the Paraguayan national soccer team in 1999 .
