José Antonio Caro de Boesi (* around 1740 in Chacao ; † October 16, 1814 in Valencia ) was a Venezuelan singer, guitarist and composer.

Little is known about Caro de Boesi's circumstances; probably he was in the service of a church in Caracas. Because of his support of the Venezuelan independence movement he was arrested in 1814 and on October 16, along with Juan Jose Landaeta and other musicians executed .

Of his works, a mass ( Misa pro defuntos , 1779), a Tantum ergo (1781), a Misa a dúo (1782) and a Maundy Thursday graduate ( Cristus Factus est ) have come down to us. In Música Histórica de Venezuela Período Colonial Siglo XVIII his complete preserved work was reissued.
