José Antonio Noriega (born December 29, 1969 in Mexico City ), also known by the nickname "El Tato", is a former Mexican soccer player who mainly played in attacking midfield .

career

Noriega began his professional career at Club Universidad Nacional , with whom he won the Mexican football championship in his first season in 1990/91 .

In 1992 he moved to CF Monterrey , with whom he was runner-up behind Club Atlante in the 1992/93 season . With a total of four years that he spent with the Rayados , this was his longest station.

He was able to look forward to another championship title in the winter tournament 2000 with the Monarcas Morelia , where he ended his active career in the Apertura 2004.

In addition, "El Tato" Noriega played on an amateur basis for a team called Colegio Madrid in the Española de Fútbol League .
