José Ignacio Álvarez , full name José Ignacio Álvarez Medero , (born December 27, 1994 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .
Career
Midfielder and offensive player Álvarez completed 14 games in the Segunda División for Club Atlético Atenas in the 2013/14 season and scored four goals. At the end of the season, his club rose to the highest Uruguayan league. In the 2014/15 season he was used eight times (one goal) in the Primera División , but could not prevent immediate relegation with the club. During the second division season 2015/16, he played 18 league games (two goals). This was followed by twelve more league appearances (one goal) in the 2016 season. In January 2017, he moved to Plaza Colonia . So far (as of August 10, 2017) he played there in twelve first division games (no goal) in the 2017 season.
