José Linhares

José Linhares , pronunciation [ ʒuˈzɛ ʎĩˈȷ̃aɾis ], (born January 28, 1886 in Guaramiranga , † November 26, 1957 in Caxambu ) was President of Brazil from October 29, 1945 to January 31, 1946 between the de facto resignation, forced by the military -Dictator Getúlio Dornelles Vargas and the swearing-in of Eurico Gaspar Dutra . During his transitional government, steps were taken to reinstate a democratic system.
