José Luis Umpiérrez

José Luis Umpiérrez Perreira (* 20th century) is a Uruguayan canoeist.

José Luis Umpiérrez took part with the Uruguayan team in the 1991 Pan American Games in Havana . At the South American Games in Valencia in 1994 , he won the bronze medal in the K4 over the 200-meter, 500-meter and 1000-meter courses together with Claudio Pimienta , Edmundo Conde and Wilser Araújo . In April of the same year he started at the XI. South American Canoe Championships 1994 in São Paulo . There he took 2nd place in the K4 over 500 meters and over 1000 meters together with Pimienta, Conde and Araújo. He was also a member of the Uruguayan squad at the 1995 Pan American Games . He also started in the XV. South American Canoeing Championships 1997 .
