Josef Hager (politician)

Josef Hager (born March 22, 1873 in Waizenkirchen ; † January 4, 1924 there ) was an Austrian farmer and politician .

The farmer's son first worked on his parents 'farm, married a farmer's daughter in 1898 and then took over his parents' farm. Twelve children arose from the marriage. Hager soon became chairman of the employers' liability insurance association for farmers , and his appointment to the state cultural council soon followed . In the municipal council of Waizenkirchen he held the position of deputy mayor and temporarily until 1919 mayor . In the same year he was elected to the Landtag for the Christian Social Party and remained there until his death.
