Josef Kümpel

Josef Kümpel (born August 16, 1915 - July 11, 1992 ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

education and profession

Josef Kümpel attended elementary school and grammar school where he passed his school leaving examination. He completed an apprenticeship as a trainee Reichsbahn inspector. In 1942 he passed the technical examination and was appointed Reichsbahn inspector. From August 1953 he was Federal Railroad Chief Inspector. From 1938 to 1958 he worked for the railway directorates in Frankfurt / Oder, Oppeln and Wuppertal.

Josef Kümpel was a member of the CDU. As a city councilor in Wuppertal he worked from 1956. From 1949 he was a member of the union of German Federal Railroad Officials and a candidate in the German Association of Officials. From 1953 Kümpel acted as district chairman and member of the federal executive board of the German Association of Civil Servants. He was also a member of the state board of North Rhine-Westphalia of the German Association of Civil Servants.

From July 21, 1958 to July 20, 1962, Josef Kümpel was a directly elected member of the 4th state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia for the constituency 054 Wuppertal II.
