Josef Koppensteiner

Josef Koppensteiner (born February 14, 1874 in Jahrings ; † August 18, 1938 ibid) was an Austrian politician ( GDVP / LB ) and business owner. From 1919 to 1927 he was a member of the state parliament of Lower Austria .

After elementary school, Koppensteiner attended the agricultural school in Edelhof and then worked as a farmer. He was also involved as chairman of the agricultural casino in Jahrings from 1908 and was chairman of the Zwettl agricultural district association from 1910. In 1912 he was elected mayor of Jahrings, and he was also a member of the district road committee, the district poor council and the district economic commission. Koppensteiner was sworn in as a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament on May 20, 1919 and initially belonged to the Greater German People's Party as a German national. In 1923 he moved to the Landbund. Koppensteiner left the state parliament on May 20, 1927.
