Josef Mayr (politician, 1967)

Josef Mayr (born October 9, 1967 in Grieskirchen ) is an Upper Austrian farmer and politician ( ÖVP ). Mayr was a member of the Upper Austrian state parliament from 2003 to 2009 .

Mayr attended primary and secondary school in Waizenkirchen and also graduated from the local agricultural college. He passed the skilled worker examination in 1987 and the master craftsman examination in 1990. Mayr works as a farmer.

Mayr was elected to the Waizenkirchen municipal council in 1991 and was promoted to the council in 1994. Between 2001 and 2003 Mayr was also parliamentary group chairman of the ÖVP Waizenkirchen. In addition, between 1997 and 2001 he was a member of the Chamber of Commerce of Upper Austria and was subsequently elected as District Chamber of Farmers for the district of Grieskirchen. Within the party, he also holds the office of the ÖVP district party chairman and represented the ÖVP in the state parliament between October 23, 2003 and October 22, 2009.
