Josef Muzak

Josef Muzak ( abducted by the SS on April 12, 1945 and presumably murdered; officially declared dead in 1947) was an Austrian resistance fighter at the time of National Socialism.

Life

Together with Viktor Reimann and Roman Karl Scholz, Muzak co-founded the resistance group Austrian Freedom Movement , which first called itself the German Freedom Movement and later became known under the name Roman Scholz '. The Austrian Freedom Movement was one of the first major organized resistance movements in Austria.

A plaque commemorates Muzak at the house in Vienna (Neustiftgasse 92) where the resistance group met.
