Josef Ninaus

Josef Ninaus (born November 28, 1878 in Sierling near Stainz ; † September 22, 1947 there ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and farmer. He was a member of the Austrian National Council and mayor of Sierling.

Ninaus attended elementary school and worked professionally as a gendarmerie trainer, from 1921 city council official and farmer. Between 1924 and 1934 he was a member of the Graz municipal council, shop steward of the Association of Public Employees and appeared as a speaker at party events of the Social Democratic Party. After the Second World War he held the office of mayor of Sierling bei Stainz between 1945 and 1947. He also represented the SPÖ in the National Council from January 17, 1946 until his death.
