Josef Steinkogler

Josef Steinkogler (born May 21, 1954 in Ebensee ) is a former Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). From 2009 to 2013 he was a member of the Federal Council of the Republic of Austria and from 1982 Vice Mayor of his home town of Ebensee.

education and profession

After compulsory school, Steinkogler attended the agricultural technical schools in Kleßheim and Altmünster from 1969 to 1971. From 1988 to 1991, he successfully completed a management training course.

The management of the Sparkasse Ebensee, at which Steinkogler had been employed since 1971, was transferred to him in 1978 and only when he left in 2006 did he end his service as branch manager. From 1982 Steinkogler worked as Vice Mayor of Ebensee. On December 6, 1990 Steinkogler became a member of the ÖVP in the Upper Austrian state parliament . In 2009 Steinkogler was sent to the Federal Council by the Upper Austrian People's Party and was a member of the Federal Council of the Republic of Austria until 2013 .

Since the professional reorientation with the end of the banking activity in 2006, Steinkogler has been working as an independent management consultant and asset advisor for Deutsche Vermögensberatung .

Private

Josef Steinkogler is married to Christine Steinkogler and has four children.
