Joseph Samuel Bloch Medal
The Joseph-Samuel-Bloch-Medal is an award created in 1994 for the campaign against anti-Semitism in Austria .
The award, named after Rabbi Joseph Samuel Bloch , was created to honor special merits in the fight against anti-Semitism . The organization “Aktion gegen den Antisemitismus in Österreich”, founded in 1955 as an independent, non-partisan association, tries to counter the anti-Semitism rooted in Austria with information and educational events through academic work in schools, universities, in popular education and the public.
