Joseph Emanuel van Leer
Joseph Emanuel van Leer (born October 31, 1880 in Amersfoort , Netherlands , † November 2, 1934 in Baku , then Soviet Union ) was a Dutch businessman who was successful in various sectors and countries. Since he got to know Rudolf Steiner in 1909 , he has campaigned for the spread of anthroposophical teaching - in particular for the establishment of Weleda and the financing of the first and second Goetheanum building.
