Joseph Hirschfeld

Joseph Hirschfeld (died in Berlin in 1848 ) was a teacher and publicist of Hebrew scriptures.

Live and act

Joseph Hirschfeld had been a teacher in Schwerin an der Warthe (today Skwierzyna) in West Prussia since 1824 at the latest . The city had one of the largest Jewish communities in the Polish areas of Prussia. One student was probably the later scholar Manuel Joël .
