Joseph Jehle took part in the 1920 Olympic Games in Antwerp in two disciplines. Together with Eugene Addor , Werner Schneeberger , Fritz Kuchen and another marksman with the surname Weibel , he took third place in the team competition with the army rifle over the combined 300 and 600 meter distance behind the US and Norwegian teams, with which he secured the bronze medal. With 114 points, Jehle was next to Weibel, the team's second best shooter. In the team competition with the army revolver over 30 m, the Swiss placed behind the United States and Greece also on the bronze rank. With 262 points, Jehle was once again the second best shooter in the Swiss team, which also consisted of Gustave Amoudroz , Hans Egli , Domenico Giambonini and Fritz Zulauf .
