Joseph Mar Thoma
Joseph Mar Thoma (civil PT Joseph ; born June 27, 1931 in Maramon , Kerala , India ) is the incumbent Metropolitan of the Mar Thoma Church .
Life
Joseph was ordained a deacon on June 29, 1957, a priest on October 18, 1957, Ramban on January 11, 1975, and Bishop Joseph Mar Irenaeus on February 8, 1975 by Juhanon Mar Thoma . He became Bishop of Niranam-Maramon. On October 2, 2007 he was named Mar Thoma XXI. Metropolitan of his church. He was President of the National Council of Churches in India.
