Joseph Zehrer (born May 16, 1954 in Perbing, Lower Bavaria ) is a German visual artist .

Life

Joseph Zehrer studied from 1982 to 1988 at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. His teachers there included Eduardo Paolozzi in sculpture and Hans Baschang in graphics and painting. From 1992 to 1994 he organized monothematic film evenings in Munich (together with Karl Bruckmaier ). In 1993, Zehrer received the award for fine arts, Munich (category "New Media"). His works include the areas of sculpture, installation, painting, drawing and light and have titles such as "Art sees television", "Curtains - trapped things - melancholy - guns" and "per plexi". Joseph Zehrer has lived in Cologne since 1994 .
