Joseph Zimbauer

Joseph Zimbauer (born July 21, 1932 , † September 7, 2010 ) was a German lawyer and manager.

Zimbauer studied law and received his doctorate in 1958 from the University of Munich with a thesis on manifestations of incompatibility . Later he was a member of the Board of Management of BayWa AG , where he managed the building materials, markets and energy divisions.

In 1993, after a stay in hospital, he founded the Friends of the Wolfratshausen District Clinic , which he chaired until 1999. Membership fees and donations have so far made it possible to purchase or support devices, equipment and funding measures worth around € 398,900 (as of June 2010).

Zimbauer was honored with the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon and received the Bavarian State Medal for services to culture and tradition in the country .
